The National Aphasia Association: Young People's Network Aphasia is not just a problem of older adults who have had strokes, people between the ages of 13 and 30 can develop aphasia, too. This link is for them, it provides stories from people who are a part of the Young Peoples Network who either have aphasia or are family members of those who are experiencing this in their lives.

A person who has difficulty speaking so others can understand my have apraxia or dyspraxia. Two links that might be helpful, although they are a bit technical, are:
One child's story of dyspraxia - a short article by a speech pathologist about one child, his difficulties and what worked to improve his speech.
Understanding apraxia - explains all the terms you may hear if you have a speech impairment - dysarthria, articulation disorder, dyspraxia, apraxia, etc.
