At Spirit Lake Consulting, Inc. we understand the needs and limits of living in a rural community when you have a disability or care about someone who does. The nearest library with information on Alzheimer's or Down syndrome might be thirty miles away. If you have a rare disability, it might be 100 miles to the nearest university library where you can find information. On the Internet you can locate 34,000 pages on any subject, but which ones are useful and which ones are telling you to cure epilepsy through carrot juice (that doesn't work, by the way).

The Virtual Library is one resource we offer, with handouts, guides on dealing with different types of disabilities and entire books. Everything here can be downloaded for free.

The Commons Area includes Virtual Field Trips to learn about areas of interest, free newsletters produced by Spirit Lale Consulting once or twice each month that give a personal view of disability, an electronic filing cabinet and more.
